Terms & Conditions for the use of the Alumni e-Card

  1. NYP graduates who have successfully completed formal award part-time/full-time diploma courses can apply for the e-Card via the mobile app ‘NYP Connect’ which can be downloaded on either iOS or Android smartphone.
  2. NYP adheres to the Data Privacy Policy to safeguard all personal data.
  3. e-Tickets/confirmation email for events or facilities booked and other information related to the app will be sent to the mobile number/email address stored in NYP’s Alumni database. Therefore, please ensure your mobile number and email address are up-to-date by either:
    1. e-mailing to NYP_alumni@nyp.edu.sg your full name, NRIC number, mobile number and email address; or
    2. login to the alumni web portal at alumni.nyp.edu.sg to update your contact details directly.
  4. If you have changed your mobile device, please download the app on your new device and re-register for your e-Card.
  5. For visual identification, please upload a recent passport photograph to your e-Card.
  6. The e-Card is exclusively yours and non-transferrable. Any member found abusing the e-Card by sharing it with others will have his/her e-Card registration revoked.
  7. Please present your e-Card and NRIC or a photo ID card such as your driving license during random security checks or for verification purpose.
  8. Please inform the NYP Alumni Relations Office at tel: 65500043 or email: NYP_alumni@nyp.edu.sg if you lose your hand phone.
  9. NYP reserves the right to:
    1. Amend the e-Card terms & conditions from time to time; and
    2. Terminate or suspend the e-Card membership of any alumnus who does not fulfil the terms & conditions of the e-Card

e-Ticket & Payment

  1. When a fee is payable for booking of a facility, it must be made at least half an hour before the timeslot for the transaction to be cleared.
  2. To make payment, open the e-Ticket under "Pending Payment". Tap on "Make Payment/Pending Verification". On the payment page, tap on "Make Payment" and proceed to pay using eNets Internet Banking. Please have your DBS/POSB, Citibank, OCBC, SCB, UOB login details and bank token (where applicable) ready and follow the instructions to proceed.
  3. Once the transaction has been cleared, you will see a QR code when you tap on 'Scan Ticket' on your mobile app.
  4. e-Tickets are non-transferrable and can only be used during the timeslot booked. There is a grace period of 15 minutes before the start time of the booking.
  5. Where applicable, payment made for the booking of a facility, is non-refundable.

Booking & Usage of Badminton, Running Track, Swimming Pool, Squash, Table Tennis & Tennis

  1. Sports facilities will be opened for booking 2 weeks in advance. Booking is on a first-come-first-served basis. Only one booking for one type of facility is allowed. No concurrent booking across multiple timeslots of the same type of facility is allowed.
  2. To allow fair consideration for booking of sports facilities by alumni, there will be a debarment period of 1 week for the same facility after booking. Debarment only applies for badminton. However, you will be able to book a court that is available for booking 1 day before the date.
  3. Facilities may be closed for maintenance works or campus events. On these dates, the affected facilities will not be available for booking. Facilities may also be closed due to the haze.
  4. To enter the Sports Complex (for badminton, squash, table tennis and swimming pool), please present your e-Ticket to the Security Officer on duty at the level 2 gate barrier entry (next to the lockers and restrooms).
  5. You are allowed to bring in 1 guest to the swimming pool and up to 3 guests only for the booking you have made for these sport facilities: badminton, table tennis, squash and tennis. Guests are not allowed for the booking made for the running track. You must be with your guests and be ready to present your e-Card and NRIC/ driving licence when required or during random checks by NYP security officers or staff.
  6. Alumni shall indemnify NYP against any damages, losses, costs and expenses suffered or incurred by themselves or their guests during the use of NYP’s facilities.
  7. You and your guests must comply with NYP facilities’ rules and regulations, which include:
    1. Alumni shall be responsible for themselves and their guests. NYP does not assume liability for property loss, injuries or death resulting from any activity.
    2. Sport and T-Junction facilities are only to be used for recreational purposes. They are not to be used for tournaments, organised games or commercial purposes.
    3. All users must be dressed in proper sports attire. Only flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes are to be worn on all playing courts.
    4. No food is allowed in any part of the sports facilities. Only water contained in proper non-spill bottles or containers are permitted.
    5. Facilities are to be left in a clean and tidy state, and all equipment used must be returned to its place.
    6. Users are requested to adhere to all rules or warning signs placed at the facility.
    7. Any user breaking or damaging equipment, property or facilities wilfully or through misuse shall bear the full cost of replacing the damaged property.
    8. NYP reserves the right to remove or reject unauthorised persons and users who infringe any of the stipulated regulations.
    9. NYP is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the campus.
    10. Please treat our staff and duty personnel with respect and courtesy.
    11. Users who behave unruly or cause disturbance to others will be asked to leave the premise.
  8. NYP reserves the right to:
    1. Amend the booking fees and terms of use at any time; and
    2. Debar any alumni found to have abused the privileges, from booking and using NYP facility. The debarment period is 3 months for the first offence and permanent removal of privilege for subsequent incidence of abuse.

Booking & Usage of NYP Library & Reading Lounge

  1. Library and the reading lounge will be opened for booking 1 month in advance.
  2. Facilities may be closed for maintenance works or campus events. On these dates, the affected facilities will not be available for booking. Facilities may also be closed due to the haze.
  3. To enter the Library and Reading Lounge, please scan your QR code (refer to the here here).
  4. E-ticket to the NYP Library allows you access to the NYP Library during the following hours:
    Term time: 8.30 am to 8.30 pm (Mon to Fri)
    Vacation: 8.30 am to 7.00 pm (Mon to Fri)
    Saturday: 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
  5. E-ticket to the Reading Lounge allows you access to the Reading Lounge during the following hours:
    8.30 am to 8.30 pm (Mon to Fri)
    8.30 am to 4.30 pm (Saturday)
  6. The e-Ticket does not include borrowing/ loan privileges, booking or use of library facilities such as PCs, project rooms, etc. To enjoy borrowing privileges, please sign up for the Library Graduate Membership at the Information Services. Details can be found at the Library's website: http://tinyurl.com/NYPLibGraduateMem . Guests are not allowed for entry to NYP Library and Reading Lounge.
  7. Please observe the Library's rules when using the Library's facilities and resources. When approached by Library staff during random checks, please present your NRIC/ driving licence as well as your e-Card on your mobile device as proof of your NYP graduate identity.

    1. Alumni shall be responsible for themselves. NYP does not assume liability for property loss, injuries or death resulting from any activity.
    2. Users are requested to adhere to all rules or warning signs placed at the facility.
    3. Any user breaking or damaging equipment, property or facilities wilfully or through misuse shall bear the full cost of replacing the damaged property.
    4. NYP reserves the right to remove or reject unauthorised persons and users who infringe any of the stipulated regulations.
    5. NYP is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the campus.
    6. Please treat our staff and duty personnel with respect and courtesy.
    7. Users who behave unruly or cause disturbance to others will be asked to leave the premise.

  1. Facilities will be opened for booking 2 weeks in advance. Booking is on a first-come-first-served basis. Only one booking for one type of facility is allowed. No concurrent booking across multiple timeslots of the same type of facility is allowed.
  2. Facilities may be closed for maintenance works or campus events. On these dates, the affected facilities will not be available for booking. Facilities may also be closed due to the haze
  3. To enter the T-Junction, please scan the QR code on your valid e-Ticket at the reader located at the T-Junction entrance at level 1 or 2.
  4. Please present your QR code and NRIC/ driving license at the reception counter inside T-Junction level 1 to sign out your equipment or game discs for your game. Your NRIC/ driving license will be returned to you after you have returned the equipment.
  5. Only the following facilities at T-Junction level 1 are open to alumni for booking: karaoke and recreational games (airhockey, foosball, pool table and darts).
  6. All persons entering and using the T-Junction facilities must be 16 years and above.
  7. You are allowed to bring in up to 3 guests only for your recreational games booking and up to 5 guests only for your karaoke booking. You must be with your guests and be ready to present your e-Card and NRIC/ driving licence when required or during random checks by NYP security officers or staff.
  8. No food and drinks are allowed in the karaoke room.
  9. Please observe the T-Junction's rules when using the facilities. When approached by staff during random checks, please present your NRIC/ driving licence as well as your e-Card on your mobile device as proof of your NYP graduate identity.
  10. Board games are available for loan at the reception counter.
  11. Alumni shall indemnify NYP against any damages, losses, costs and expenses suffered or incurred by themselves or their guests during the use of NYP’s facilities.
  12. You and your guests must comply with NYP facilities’ rules and regulations, which include:
    1. Alumni shall be responsible for themselves and their guests. NYP does not assume liability for property loss, injuries or death resulting from any activity.
    2. T-Junction facilities are only to be used for recreational purposes. They are not to be used for tournaments, organised games or commercial purposes.
    3. Facilities are to be left in a clean and tidy state, and all equipment used must be returned to its place.
    4. Users are requested to adhere to all rules or warning signs placed at the facility.
    5. Any user breaking or damaging equipment, property or facilities wilfully or through misuse shall bear the full cost of replacing the damaged property.
    6. NYP reserves the right to remove or reject unauthorised persons and users who infringe any of the stipulated regulations.

Booking & Usage of BodyWatch Gym at T-Junction (level 2)

  1. The BodyWatch Sport & Wellness Centre (hereafter referred to as "BodyWatch") is open to all full-time students and authorised members of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP).
  2. To allow fair consideration for booking by alumni, there will be a debarment period of 2 days for the Bodywatch Gym facility after booking. However, you will be able to book a slot that is available for booking 1 day before the date.
  3. To enter the T-Junction, please scan the QR code on your valid e-Ticket at the reader located at the T-Junction entrance at level 1 or 2.
  4. The facility will be opened for booking 2 weeks in advance. Booking is on a first-come-first-served basis. Only one booking for one type of facility is allowed. No concurrent booking across multiple timeslots of the same type of facility is allowed.
  5. All alumni would be granted entry to BodyWatch based on a valid QR code on the e-Ticket. Please present your QR code and NRIC/ driving license at the Bodywatch Gym reception counter for registration before your workout. Your NRIC/ driving license will be returned to you after you have completed your gym session.
  6. All users in BodyWatch must be appropriately dressed in sports attire at all times (e.g. t-shirts, shorts, leotards, socks, covered sports shoes).
  7. Any other form of attire which may cause possible infringement of safety to oneself or other users, or which may cause potential damage to equipment are prohibited. The Management & BodyWatch duty staff reserve the right to decide on the suitability of the sports attire worn by users.
  8. All BodyWatch users are required to comply with the Rules & Regulations and to instructions given by the Management & BodyWatch duty staff.
  9. The Management & BodyWatch duty staff reserve the right to refuse entry to any person or group, if in the opinion of the management & duty staff, the person or group is already within the facility but has violated any of the BodyWatch rules & regulations.
  10. If the person or group is already within the facility but has violated any of the BodyWatch rules & regulations, the person or group may be prohibited from further use of the facility and instructed to leave the facility immediately.
  11. All BodyWatch users should refrain from talking loudly or indulging in noisy activities that may annoy or distract other users (e.g. dropping weights forcefully) or any other form of conduct that is deemed inappropriate by the Management and Staff of BodyWatch
  12. All BodyWatch users should observe the instructions and safety precautions pertaining to the use of the various exercise equipment.
  13. BodyWatch users are requested to consult the duty staff for assistance if in doubt.
  14. All BodyWatch users will be held responsible for any damages to any of the equipment with the facility.
  15. All BodyWatch users are requested to practice good hygiene and gym etiquette by observing the following:
    • Return all equipment to its original place after use.
    • A personal towel must be used at all times. BodyWatch users are not allowed to share towels.
    • Do not hog the machines. Each user is restricted to 20 minutes on cardio machine during peak hours. All other equipment shall be shared among gym users at all times.
    • Free weights are not to be taken out of its designated area. Safety collars must be used at all times.
  16. No smoking, charging of phones, eating, or gambling is allowed within the entire compound of the BodyWatch facility.
  17. Only water or isotonic drinks contained in proper non-spill bottles or containers are permitted to be brought into BodyWatch.
  18. All BodyWatch users are required to place their bags and belongings in the electronic lockers.
  19. No personal exercise equipment is allowed to be brought into the facility. For safety reasons, all mobile phones, MP3 players, and other devices should be made inaudible to other users and properly secured to the body of the owner during exercise.
  20. All BodyWatch users hereby acknowledge and understand that the trainings, programs and events held by the BodyWatch gym and attempted by themselves may cause exposure to inherent risks, including accidents, injury, illness or even death.
  21. All BodyWatch users assume all risk of injuries associated with participation including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other users, the effect of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, and all other such risks being known and appreciated by themselves.
  22. All BodyWatch users hereby acknowledge any responsibility in communicating any physical and psychological concerns that might conflict with participation in the activity.
  23. BodyWatch users acknowledge that they are physically fit and mentally capable of performing the physical activity they choose to participate in.
  24. After having read this waiver, and in consideration of acceptance of my participation and the BodyWatch Gym furnishing services to me, I agree, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, to hold harmless, waive and release the BodyWatch Gym, its officers, agents, employees, organizers, representatives, and successors from any responsibility, liabilities, demands, or claims of any kind arising out of my participation in the BodyWatch training, programs and/or events.
